Good news for sport fishing
Sport fishermen working out of the Coquille River this summer should see improved safety with the dredge Yaquina scheduled to work in the lower river area in early July.
There’s good news for the port, recreational fishers/boaters and local charter-fishing operators: The federal dredge Yaquina is scheduled to work in the lower Coquille River area for several days around July 4, weather permitting.
John Craig of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers advised Port of Bandon officials of the schedule at their regular commission meeting on Feb. 25. Bandon is scheduled for 4.7 days of dredging work.
